Dadra taal is a very popular simple and symmetrical taal. It is often used in looser forms of music, such as bhajans, folk music, and movie songs.
Structure
Dadra taal consists of two vibhags of three matras each, for a total of six matras. There is one tali and one khali in dadra taal; tali comes on the first vibhag (or the first matra), while khali comes on the second (or the fourth matra).
