Dadra taal is a very popular simple and symmetrical taal. It is often used in looser forms of music, such as bhajans, folk music, and movie songs[1].
Structure
Dadra taal consists of two vibhags of three matras each, for a total of six matras. There is one tali and one khali in dadra taal; tali comes on the first vibhag (or the first matra), while khali comes on the second (or the fourth matra).
