International Certification of Dance Studies
Utpalasia offers the prestigious International Certification of Dance Studies through the International Dance Council – CID – UNESCO in Paris, France. The certification is recognized in more than 170 countries. Utpalasia is proud to be a training and testing organization for Classical and Fusion Indian Kathak, Bollywood Fusion, and Himalayan folk dance.
Students are required to be members of CID to enter this program and receive a range of benefits upon being accepted, including free access to international conferences, a dancer database, performance opportunities, a library of resources, and more.
Levels range from 1 to 10. Each level is at least 150 hours, including classes, rehearsals, performances, and lectures by the member organization.
The school administers dance examinations directly to a student pursuing certification. Upon completion of the required hours and a passing grade on the examination, a student will be awarded the official certification for their particular level by CID and Utpalasia.
