International Certification of Dance Studies
Utpalasia offers the prestigious International Certification of Dance Studies through the Conseil International de la Danse (CID), a partner of UNESCO, located in Paris, France. The certification is recognized world-wide, in more than 170 countries. We are proud to prepare dancers of all ages and levels for certification in Indian Kathak, Bollywood Fusion, and Nepali folk dance.
Students are required to be members of CID to enter this program and receive a range of benefits upon being accepted, including free access to international conferences, a dancer database, performance opportunities, a library of resources, and more.
Levels range from 1 to 10. Each level is at least 150 hours, including classes, rehearsals, performances, and lectures by the member organization.
The school administers dance examinations directly to a student pursuing certification. Upon completion of the required hours and a passing grade on the examination, a student will be awarded the official certification by the International Dance Council – CID and Utpalasia.
